Backpacks and Legends!

Hey jammers! Nebula here, posting for today! The item-of-the-day is the returning Backpack, in Jam Mart Clothing! I suppose AJHQ has decided to remind us that Summer is coming to an end and soon we have to go back to The Torture Chamber school, but it does look very cute on any animal, perfect for torture chamber school role-plays or animal adventurers!

Moving on, the Daily Explorer has made a new post featuring an old favorite, Phantom Fighter! Make sure to get double gems while you can, they won't last forever!

Speaking of old favorites, I have an interesting tidbit of text to share with you guys about Jamaa. This is an official story, found on Animal Jam's old website, which you can find here, which had a whole page full of Animal Jam mythology and lore! Jamaa had its very own culture! Anywho, this was originally the legend of Jamaa, how it all began. It was removed quite a few months later, but the shamans, or now alphas, and other characters from the old legends, were brought back last year, the alphas now with updated blurbs, but the legend of Mira, Zios, and the phantoms remains a mystery to newer players. Without further ado, the legend of Jamaa! Once upon a time...

And so it was that the Sky Father was named Zios.

He created many stars and planets, and set them in motion.

But after eons of creation, he became lonely. So he created the

Sky Mother, a grey heron, and named her Mira. 

Mira was beautiful and kind and they were very happy together.

She loved Zios deeply and often told him how talented he was,

encouraging him to create. Together, Zios and Mira created their masterpiece: a lush land filled with oceans, mountains, meadows, and all kinds of plants and animals.

They named this special world Jamaa, and for hundreds of years, the world and its animals were at peace. 

But today, all is not well in Jamaa. A mysterious dark force has crept into the land, stealing away animals and ruining the beauty of Jamaa. Only you can help save the animals and restore the world to its glory. Please help, for you are Jamaa's only hope.

Sounds neat, doesn't it? Although that they did remove the page, evidence is everywhere that it did follow through. Zios and Mira appear everywhere throughout Jamaa. A mysterious dark force did creep into Jamaa, and it does capture animals and ruin the beauty of Jamaa. As for that ominous ending, the player is Jamaa's only hope, as shown in the adventures. So, I don't think that this legend is completely gone. It certainly does add depth to the game...
